An Interview With Dr. Mang
How did you decide on a career in medicine?
Medicine is a field rooted in science, which attracts me because I have a strong curiosity about the human body, diseases, and the mechanisms of health. The prospect of continuous learning and staying updated with medical advancements is appealing to me. The medical field also offers a wide range of specialties and career paths, allowing individuals to find their niche, whether in primary care, surgery, research, or public health. This diversity can keep the career dynamic and engaging.
Moreover, the complexity of medical diagnoses and treatments presents an ongoing intellectual challenge. I was drawn to the problem-solving aspects of medicine, where critical thinking and analytical skills are essential.
How did you become interested in aesthetics?
Plastic surgery offers the opportunity to significantly improve patients’ lives, whether through reconstructive procedures following trauma or aesthetic surgeries that enhance self-esteem. I chose aesthetics because I was and still am motivated by the chance to help individuals regain confidence and improve their quality of life.
